However, these two areas are not linked to each other, so the
design represents a 'split definition'.
This means that usually Bill has the feeling that he is two
persons and it is important to have someone in his life that makes
'the bridge' for him, preferably by completing one (or two) of the
two health channels (48-16: the Wavelength - a design of talent,
57-20: the Brainwave - a design of penetrating awareness).
When one of two health channels is completed, Bills 'split' is resolved and he has a connection to the throat which, because he has a 'motor' (the Sacral), allows him to do, either in a talented way (48-16) or in the Now (57-20).
Everything else that he gets from transits or other people is 'extra': it may be helpful but it is also conditions him.
When you look at Bill Gates' Rave Chart you see centers that are defined (coloured in) and centers that are not defined (empty).
Let us first take a look at the defined centers.
Defined centers represent qualities that are always active and
cannot be influenced by outside forces (transits or other people),
in other words, you can rely on them.
Bill can be sure that his mental awareness (Ajna center in the top)
really is his.
The conceptions that he has about other people and the world are
his own and he can bring them out (verbalise) in an abstract way,
stimulating (56) through ideas (11).
He will always have ideas (11), opinions (17) and unique insights
(43), yet he cannot always act on them because GENERALLY he is not
a doer!.
The Mind is first of all there for communication and whether Bill
Gates' ideas are acted upon or not is GENERALLY not up to him.
For this he may depend on his secretary or his wife.
The Throat center is also defined through channel 11-56 (curiosity:
a design of a searcher).
This means that Bill ALWAYS has al lot to say in a way that is
stimulating to others.
The other area that is defined consists of the Splenic Center and
the Sacral Center.
Both centers are connected to each other through channel 50-27
(preservation: a design of custodianship).
This channel defined indicates that Bill is responsible (or not,
this depends on the lines in the 50th and 27th hexagram) and has a
nourishing influence.
It also the channel that indicates a vulnarability to sexual
diseases.
Channel 50-27 lies in the so-called 'tribal circuit'.
The key- line of this circuit is 'I support', so Bill supports the
tribe (his family and/or in a broader sense the Silicon Tribe) in
a responsible and nourishing way.
His Spleen is always active.
The Splenic center is about feeling good.
It is body awareness and it is the body's cleansing system.
The Spleen is the laundery of the body and it is also where we
clean out psychic pain.
Bill Gates always has the energy to perform these operations, yet
is doesn't always manifest because the spleen isn't always
connected to the Throat center.
His Sacral center is also defined and it is about sex drive, regeneration (of body-cells e.g.) and empowerment.
The 50th gate in the spleen is about maintaining (or not) one's personal values and it also represents the fear of responsibility.
The 27th gate is one of the two (the other one is 59) sexual gates
in the system and it is about caring.
It is through channel 59-6 (fertility) that you bring children into
the world and
through channel 50-27 you take care of them and raise and nourish
them.
People often feel a bit uneasy when they look at the empty centers
because they think that there is something wrong and that they need
to be fixed.
However, empty centers are not broken, they just are not always
active.
They are like gas bottles under pressure which do not always have
an opening valve, so the energy is not always flowing.
This can change through transits or by mixing with other
people.
As you can see, whenever a whole channel is coloured in, the
centers that it connects are also coloured in, meaning that they
are active.
Bill Gates can always trust his mental (Ajna) and intuitive
awareness (spleen), meaning that they are his own and not somebody
elses conditioning.
(It does NOT mean that he is always right!)
In the empty centers you are always vulnerable to outside
influences.
When the Head center is defined, Bill will have inspiration either through the planets or through somebody else: it is not his own!
A defined G-center means that he is conditioned in his sense of
Self, his identity.
When Bill meets somebody with a defined G- center he will have no
choice other than living out the identity of that person.
It can feel extremely uncomfortable if that person has a lousy
sense of self and in a relationship it can cause a lot of
problems.
The person with the undefined Self always feels imposed upon by the
defined person, yet you cannot say that the combination is always
impossible.
If the defined identity 'feels good' for Bill, everything is
okay.
Things are a lot easier when he defines his undefined Self together with a person whose Self is also undefined and it means that they have an identity in their relationship, which may feel good or bad.
If the Heart center is defined Bill will be conditioned in his will- power and his drive on the material plane.
When somebody defines Bills Solar Plexus he will experience the
emotions of that person.
An undefined emotional center means a vulnarability to emotional
blackmail.
And finally, when somebody grounds Bill by defining his root center, he will be conditioned in the way he moves about his adrenalin energy.
The defined centers represent what you can teach to others, the undefined centers represent the courses that you take in life.
Because Bill has the intuitive and mental awareness defined, he
always has to balance these two awarenesses.
When he has an idea that he wants to act upon while his intuition
says 'no' he should know that there is something wrong.
Let us now take a look at the single gates which define design (subconscious) and personality (conscious).
Ajna (Mental awareness:knowing, intuition and understanding, anterior and posterior pituitaries.)
Gate 17 - line 5 - Moon - conscious
Beginning in the Ajna-center we see that the Moon, when Bill was
born, opened
up the 17th gate in the 5th line.
The 17th gate is the gate of opinions.
Bill Gates is someone who regularly expresses (through his
opinions) the value of being organized.
However, since every line in Human Design has a polarity ('exalted'
and 'in detriment') he also sometimes might refuse to see the value
of being organized.
Expressing his opinions about being organized or not will be a
theme throughout all his life.
It is important to note that GENERALLY Bill cannot express his
opinions in detail because gate 17 is NOT connected to the Throat
through the harmonic gate 62.
Gate 43 - line 2 - Venus - conscious
The 43rd gate is about the 'Inner Ear'.
Bill Gates is someone who by design does not listen to judgments of
other people about him.
When you tell him that he did something in the wrong way, gate 43
protects him against your interference.
He will only act upon the directions of his own 'Inner Ear'.
The 43rd gate is also about conceptualizing your unique
insights.
Its nature is strictly individual and it often takes courage to
stand behind it.
With the second line defined Bill has to have the patience to stick
to his mental habits and unique thought processes until the insight
has 'matured'.
He might be tempted to express his insight to soon when an
opportunity arises.
Gate 43 - line 3 - Saturn - unconscious This position is about either defending or abandoning the individual insight when being confronted with condemnation.
Gate 11 - line 2 - Moon - unconscious
The 11th gate is the gate of ideas and the second line is about
boredom.
Unconsciously using imagination or launching one idea after another
is
Bills way of escaping a sense of boredom.
Gate 11 - line 4 - North Node - unconscious
The design North Node represents the unconscious main theme for the
second half of Bills life which begins around the age of forty,
when the midlife crisis starts.
Since Bill is 40 years old, this period is about to begin or has
already begun.
The 4th line is called 'The Teacher' and it is about informing the
uneducated with either ideas that are clear and transferable or
ideas that can only be grasped by the happy few.
It is no coincidence that 'The Road Ahead', which is full of
(complex) ideas, appears at the beginning
of Bills 'second half'!
Throat center (expression, manifestation, metamorphosis, thyroid and parathyroid)
Gate 56 - line 5 - Mercury - unconscious
Gate 56 lies in the Throat and it is a gate of stimulating
expression.
The 5th line is called 'Attracting Attention'.
Bill Gates is someone who attracts attention with his ideas,
sometimes expressing them in an
innovative and unusual way.
Gate 31 - line 6 - Sun - unconscious Gate 31 is about leading and influence and the design Sun in the 6th line indicates that Bill Gates is a leader whose actions match his words.
Gate 31 - line 1 - Uranus - conscious
Gate 33 - line 6 - Mars - unconscious
The 33rd gate is about being private and secretive.
Bill Gates is someone who flourishes behind closed doors and the
6th line is about being able
(or not) to revitalize completely in retreat.
Gate 33 - line 3 - Jupiter - unconscious
Bill Gates is able to turn a (temporary) retreat into a final
victory.
Gate 45 - line 2 - South Node - conscious
The 45th gate is part of the so called money-line which connects
the throat to the Heart center.
The money-line is about following a material direction and whoever
has definition in the money-line by design is forced to get his or
her material stuff together.
The 45th gate is called 'the Gatherer', so Bill is a saver and
collector of material wealth.
The other end of the channel (21) is called 'the Hunter' and the
relationship between the two is that of the land-owner (gatherer)
who allows the Hunter (21) to hunt on his land as long as he gets
the best piece of meat.
If you are the boss and you have the 45 it is very important that
you have a 21 working for you, and vice versa.
