Founded in
1983, Sala Communications (holding BV and subsidiaries) used to be a medium
sized trade magazine publisher with in-house advertising sales, editorial,
preproduction, support functions and specialised in computer related
publications and event-organisation covering the Dutch and Dutch speaking
Belgian markets. With an maximum annual turnover of 4-5 million dollar in 2001,
then 7 regular publications, several successful trade shows like the Dealer-Info
Dag, PC Dumpdag and a staff of about 12 people the
company has stabilised into a well-run, ambitious and technically up-to-date
organisation by 2003. Specialised knowledge in CD-ROM development, color-DTP and a stock of 150.000 pictures in digital format
contributed to the success of the company.
Sala Communications is a corporation (B.V.) and is owned and run by its
founder, Mr. Luc H.D.J. Sala. The total turnover of all companies in the Sala
group incl, PC Dumpdag and BCE
computer retailing was about 10 million dollar/euro in 2003.
Since 2005
the company has downsized, also because the owner wanted to slowly retire and in
2009 Mr Sala decided to end a number of subsidiaries and in 2012 Sala
Communications as a company has ended.
